Garry D. Barker
Mr. Barker graduated from the John Marshall Law School and received his juris doctorate degree in 1978. Mr. Barker is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois and all Federal District Courts throughout the United States.
During his first 8 years in private practice, Mr. Barker worked as an insurance defense attorney for the prominent law firm of Cassiday, Shade & Gloor and as house counsel for Commercial Union Insurance Company. During this time, Mr. Barker was responsible for hundreds of litigation files involving all types of injuries arising out of auto and truck accidents, medical malpractice, product’s liability, and construction site accidents.
In 1986, at the age of 32, Mr. Barker founded the law firm of Garry D. Barker and Associates which later was renamed the Barker Law Offices. The mission of this firm has always been to represent seriously injured Plaintiffs against large corporations and insurance companies and to effect positive changes for the public’s interest. To date, we have successfully recovered millions of dollars for our clients, including many seven figure awards. Mr. Barker’s verdicts includes one for $14.2 million dollars. Many of our lawsuits have helped bring about reforms that have benefited those in the future.
